Relax it’s Art – Paint on Canvas with Jon Kardamis

This paint on canvas class is a 2 hr. long class led by professional artist Jon Kardamis. He will take students with any skill level through a step by step process to create the “Lighthouse on the Bay” piece. Jon’s goal is to reach all people, both art interested, and non-art interested individuals, and share the therapeutic benefits painting can have in their life. All of the supplies will be provided, including paints, 9 x 12″ canvas board, brushes, palette, tape, and palette knife.

Jon’s experience is 9 years as a professional artist, creating artwork by direct commission. This is his full-time occupation. More recently Jon has enjoyed leading classes in creating unique landscape paintings. Most children are exposed to art or creativity on a consistent basis, as this is incredibly beneficial in growth/development. However, as many become adults, there is a drop off for creative exposure. This happens for many reasons, but whether or not someone has a talent for art/creativity should not dictate their involvement. It’s still important for adults to engage in art creative outlets.

Jon plans to have some video and pictures taken in this class so please be aware if you sign up that this is something that you will be included on for this session.
