This project is meant for advanced artists who will learn how the brain impacts drawing and how to overcome left hemispheric dominance while creating realistic drawings of their hand through implementing the concept of negative space. Shading techniques will be implemented to add form and value to the finished work.

Artists will learn how to draw a walrus using simple shapes. Watercolor painting techniques will be implemented to practice blending colors in a gradient, outlining with paint and bleeding it into spaces by using water only. Paper snowflakes will be created to add a mixed media component to the background

Using Mac Powell’s song “Be Praised” as inspiration, artists will create a 9” x 12” work of art using a variety of mixed media materials and techniques. This class is designed to meet the needs of all ages and ability levels. All supplies will be provided. Click the link below
